Most people don’t believe they can lose 10 pounds fast by eating more food.  It just doesn’t seem to make sense.  But the fact is many people make a mistake in their diets by not eating enough.  If you starve your body for an extended period of time, your body will develop cravings that eventually you will have to appease.

When you do give in and start eating after you’ve been starving yourself, you will often eat a whole lot more than you would normally eat and you’ll eat unhealthy foods because they are quick and easy.

You need to keep your blood sugar levels at normal levels throughout your day.  By going long periods without food, your blood sugar levels will go down and this will lead to binge eating.

The trick to losing weight by eating is to eat more often.  You can eat smaller meals.  You can eat all your favorite foods.  You can eat and eat and eat.  Just in smaller portions.  For people who love to eat, this works great.

The main point is that most people cannot sustain food deprivation for an extended period of time.  Your body needs food and you will not be able to sustain any weight you lose through depriving yourself of food and starving yourself.

Any diet plan that works is one that you are able to stick with.  A diet plan that calls for you to starve yourself will not be one that works in the long term.  The results will be temporary.

So stop making this common diet mistake and get something healthy to eat, like some walnuts.

15 ways to lose 10 pounds fast

Want to lose 10 pounds fast? It’s easy to say goodbye to 10 pounds of unwanted fat with these easy diet tips. Just pay attention to what you eat and be sure to have good tasting, fresh and healthy food including snacks, fill up on vegetables and keep your taste buds happy with fruit.

No need to make sacrifices! Just follow these simple guidelines to lose your first 10 pounds, last 10 pounds or give your weight loss program a boost when it seems to have stuttered to a halt. This is a balanced and flexible plan that you can use for as long as you want.

1. Keep a note of everything that you eat and drink. You do not need to estimate calories. Just write down what it was that you had and the approximate quantity. You will find that being more aware of what you are eating helps you to plan healthy meals and snacks.

2. Halve your intake of all pure or added fats. This means using half as much butter or spread on your bread, toast, muffins and potatoes; half the usual amount of mayonnaise or sauce on your salad; and half the oil in the frypan every time.

3. Limit treats containing sugar to three times per week. This includes chocolate, ice cream, desserts, cake, pastries, cookies, etc.

4. Include a lower fat source of protein at most meals: chicken, fish, beans, cottage cheese, or low fat yogurt. Have eggs, nuts and red meat occasionally but not every day.

5. Plan at least one lunch and dinner every week without meat or cheese. Build those meals around whole grains, vegetables and beans to increase fiber and reduce fat.

6. Reduce the fat content in your milk products. If you are currently drinking whole milk, reduce to 2% fat. From 2% reduce to 1%. Choose lower fat cheese and yogurt. When you buy yogurt, also check that it does not contain sugar.

7. Have at least two servings of fruit every day. This can be for dessert or snacks. Choose fruit that is in season.

8. Drink water instead of sodas, juices, milky drinks or alcohol. Avoid diet soda - the sweet taste only encourages you to crave sugar. Hot water with a slice of lemon can be very refreshing in the morning.

9. Include at least two servings of vegetables at lunch and dinner. If you are getting hungry, have more.

10. Eat slowly. The body is slow to register when you are full and it is easy to eat too much if you are racing through your meals.

11. Grated carrot makes a great snack. You will find that a grated carrot is much more filling than a whole carrot. Strange but true.

12. Use whole grains wherever possible. The fiber will give you a fuller feeling and also help your digestion.

13. Choose food that you can chew. Again this will increase your fiber intake, and the act of chewing will make you feel more satisfied too. This means eating fruit instead of drinking juice. If you have soup, make sure it is chunky.

14. Plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. Plan your shopping too - make a list of what you need and stick to it. If you just grab something when you are feeling hungry, you will probably choose high calorie food.

15. Always switch off the TV when you eat. That includes snacks as well as meals. Studies have proved that we eat larger portions in front of the TV, probably because we are much less aware of what we are eating. When you eat, only eat if you want to lose weight fast.

You can lose 10 pounds faster if you add working out to your daily or weekly routines. You will lose weight much faster than just dieting alone.

Tone Up and Lose More Weight

Sure, exercise is important for losing weight. In fact, weight loss without increased activity is impossible for many people. But the kind of exercise you do can make your weight loss even more significant. While cardio workouts are great for getting the heart pumping and the calories burning, you need to build muscle mass if you want those calories to keep flying off while you’re sitting around doing nothing. That’s why it’s important to do exercises that tone your body while you exercise.

Adding a pound of muscle mass will cause you to burn up to 50 extra calories per day, even when you’re just sitting down. Imagine how much faster you could lose weight if you replaced 10 lbs of fat with muscle? Plus, on a normal diet, you lose muscle mass along with the fat. This slows your metabolism and causes you to gain weight when you eat normally again. If you add muscle mass instead, you keep burning more calories and are more likely to keep the weight off.

Exercises like running, biking, and swimming can burn hundreds of calories per hour, but have much less benefit after the exercising is done. While they can increase muscle mass, the increase is not nearly significant as lifting weights. Weight lifting burns fat while you work out, and continues to burn after you stop. And the more weight you can lift, the more calories you’ll burn each time. This means the stronger you get; the faster you’ll burn through your fat reserves.

With many exercise programs, doing too much too quickly can be dangerous. This is especially true with weight training. That sounded incredible, I was so excited. Would it work for me?!

But, I also looked at Rapid Weight Loss By The Numbers. It claimed it would start working in only days…and it had a ton of customer testimonials. People who had actually used it and had been successful with it. Plus, the author was featured on some major TV news programs.

I decided to first give Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle a shot…

I was somewhat pleased by the results. I’ve lost almost 10 pounds eating better and more often.  Now, I just need to add more exercise to my routine. I was happy, but wanted to compare it to the other weight loss guide I had saw.

So, next, I took a look at Rapid Weight Loss By The Numbers…

It actually has some very good info in it…some of it is similar to what is in Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle.  If you were to follow the program, you could potentially lose up to 28 pounds in 3 weeks like the author claims.

I was amazed at the results of my weight loss search, and really excited. My friends all noticed, and girls looked at me a LOT more. It was really, really gratifying…

As far as price goes, Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is $39.95 or $59.95 for the deluxe edition and Rapid Weight Loss By The Numbers is $29.95. It was definitely a small price to pay for permanent weight loss…especially compared to the prices of some diet pills…

I don’t think I could’ve gone another day with all the weight I had. The pain was unbearable…people just looked at you differently and never really wanted to get close to you. It was as though I had some infectious disease…I’m so glad I lost the weight.

People have asked me to rate both of the products, so I’d have to give Rapid Weight Loss By The Numbers 4 1/2 stars and Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle 5 stars. It just worked a bit better and it was so worth it.
