Why should you lose 10 pounds

Hello-

Many people who have a few extra pounds do not think about losing weight.  They rationalize that they are not as bad as other people who are severely obese so they can wait a while before they get around to losing those few pounds around the belly.

Fast forward 20 to 30 years and those extra few pounds you’ve been carrying around will now start showing their ugly heads in the form of high blood pressure, heart disease and a plethora of other health ailments.

There are several benefits to losing 10 to 20 pounds and getting in shape.  Weight loss can decrease stress on your knees, hips, and lower back and may improve the symptoms of osteoarthritis.  Weight loss may improve blood pressure, triglyceride, and cholesterol levels; improve heart function and blood flow; and decrease inflammation throughout the body.  If you lose weight, you won’t need to worry about ED or taking the magic blue pill.  :o)

That’s the why of weight loss, now what about the how to lose 10 pounds?

First of all, you need to make a commitment to yourself that no matter what, you will stick with it until you have shed those 10 or 20 or 30 pounds.  Successful weight loss comes from an honest commitment to yourself and a focus from within to succeed. You can succeed at losing however many pounds you need if you want, it will take hard work and dedication.

You already know that.

First I want to talk about exercise and then give some tips about eating better and smarter.

Exercise is a very important factor in any weight loss plan, whether you have 10 pounds to lose or a hundred. If you do not include exercise in your battle to lose weight, then you probably won’t meet you goal as quickly as you would like.  If you want to lose 10 pounds fast, you need to exercise.
